Matches: We enter our teams into regular tournament days throughout the season as well as the National In2Hockey tournament. We often put teams into 2 or 3 playing levels to give everyone a chance at competitive hockey. The A Team will travel a little further to ensure a high level of competition
This is a really successful group for us with our teams over the last 5 years being regular winners of the local stage of the In2Hockey tournament. We have also gone onto the Regional tournament, have been overall runners-up and winners of the plate competition. In 2022 we were undefeated in the South Central regional competition and just missed out on the National Finals, losing on Penalty Strokes! We are a leading club in the South of England and have strong track record of our girls joining the England Hockey Player Pathway, starting with Oxfordshire County Hockey, with some players progressing to a higher performance environment, including Talent Academy and Open Age Group England trials.
We also welcome many new players at this age and pride ourselves on our inclusivity. Every player is valued by us. We are enthusiastic about getting girls into sports and keeping them there. We are really successful in our work with Headington School and base ourselves there to allow easy access for girls to come straight from school to training. Our programme with local primary and secondary schools is bringing more players to our groups and we love that this age group is made up of a large number of schools in our region.
