7. England Hockey Talent System
The England Hockey Talent System (also known as the player pathway) offers a reference point for decision-making, a common language to support the development of players and a guidance to assist stakeholders in how they can support the journey of a young person.
The Talent System is where many of our best juniors develop Complete Player Qualities that allow them to reach their potential for lifelong involvement in hockey, and also increases the breadth and depth of hockey players to support future performance aspirations.
We fully support this environment as it helps all junior players reach their potential, whether they are the best club player they can be, they seek a lifelong commitment to the game through coaching or volunteering, or they go on to represent England or GB. Oxford Hockey Club encourages all players to realise their potential by fully engaging with the England Hockey Talent System.
